Frequently Asked Questions
Patient Knowledge Base
Entering an intensive clinical recovery protocol can generate a lot of questions. We favor total transparency regarding our care operations, billing parameters, and physiological expectations.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Please bring loose, comfortable clothing. If you are receiving localized surgical area drainage, wear clothing that allows for easy draping or access. We want you to be entirely relaxed during your session.
How many sessions of MLD will I need post-surgery?
Every patient's physiology dictates a different timeline. Generally, surgeons recommend a block of 3 to 6 sessions in the first two weeks post-op to rapidly flush the traumatic surgical inflammation and prevent hard fibrosis.
Do you supply and measure compression garments?
Yes. Getting the correct gradient compression is crucial. As a CLT, I am certified in advanced compression garment measurement and will directly assist in the ordering, fitting, and donning process.
Do I need a Doctor's referral?
While you don't strictly need a referral to book a consultation, it is highly useful to have your operative report or physician clearance on file for any active post-surgical or oncology recovery plans.
Do you take insurance or Medicare?
We are an explicitly out-of-network, self-pay clinic. We do not natively bill private insurance, and we distinctly do not accept Medicare. We will happily generate a detailed Superbill for you to submit to your private carrier for reimbursement.
